Engineer (m/f/d) Space Applications – Solar cell interconnection
Shape the future of energy in space
At Qcells, we develop technologies that perform where others reach their limits: in space.
Join a team that designs highly reliable solar power panels for the most demanding satellite missions.
As an Interconnection Expert (m/f/d), you will ensure that electrical connections—one of the most critical elements of any solar generator—deliver maximum performance and reliability under extreme space conditions.
Your Mission
You will develop and optimize electrical interconnection and contact solutions for solar generators used in satellites.
Working at the intersection of electrical engineering, materials science, and aerospace, you will ensure that connections remain stable and efficient under vacuum, radiation, temperature cycling, and mechanical stress.
What to Expect
- Development of advanced interconnection concepts for solar cells and modules
- Design of contact geometries, string layouts, and electrical architectures
- Optimization of electrical performance and reduction of power losses
- Analysis of thermo-mechanical stress, degradation, and long-term reliability
- Development and qualification of manufacturing and joining processes
- Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and international partners
Your Profile
- Degree in electrical engineering, physics, materials science, aerospace engineering, or similar
- Experience in interconnection, electronics, packaging, or high-reliability systems
- Understanding of electrical, thermal, and mechanical interactions in complex systems
- Passion for innovation and advanced technologies
- Very good command of English
