We are looking for a passionate and skilled Laser Process Expert to join our R&D team and contribute to the advancement of perovskite-silicon tandem solar cell technology. Your Role: Advancing Laser Processes for Tandem Solar Cells
As a key member of our dynamic and international R&D team, you will take ownership of laser-based processes in perovskite development. You will play a critical role in developing, optimizing, and scaling laser technologies to enable high-efficiency tandem solar cells.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Laser Process Development:
Develop, optimize, and implement laser processes for perovskite tandem solar cells, including cell separation (scribing/dicing) and edge isolation. - Technology Ownership:
Take full responsibility for all laser-related process steps across the perovskite device flow, ensuring performance, stability, and scalability. - Process Integration:
Collaborate closely with coating, materials, and device teams to integrate laser steps seamlessly into the overall cell architecture and process flow. - Experimental Excellence:
Plan and execute experiments, analyze data, and continuously improve processes, equipment, and device performance. - Technology Transfer:
Support the transfer of laser processes from R&D to pilot lines and production environments, ensuring robustness and reproducibility. - Equipment & Supplier Management:
Work with equipment manufacturers and internal stakeholders to define specifications, qualify tools, and drive technological advancements.
Your Qualifications
- Degree in Physics, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Strong experience in laser-material processing, ideally in photovoltaics, semiconductors, or thin-film technologies.
- Hands-on expertise in processes such as laser scribing, ablation, structuring, dicing, or edge isolation.
- Knowledge of perovskite or tandem solar cell technology is a strong advantage.
- Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience with data analysis and statistical tools.
- Fluency in English.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
